Your Book Options:

You have several different design options to select from if you choose to have your Wordportrait published as a book, instead of leaving it as a manuscript. Some of the main ones are listed below, but the list is not exhaustive. Before making your final choice, you will be able to see actual examples of Wordportraits produced according to different specifications.

The first decision you will have to make is whether to have your Wordportrait produced in paperback or hardback.

You will also have to choose between different page sizes, for example:

Hardback
6in. by 9 in. This is about the size of a normal paperback novel.
8.24in by 10.75 in. This is a bit smaller than A4 size.

Paperback
6in. by 9in.
8.5in. by 11in.
9in. by 7in. This is a landscape-style format.

You can choose to include up to twelve photographs, including one on the front and one on the back cover.

You can also choose the font, or type-face, in which your Wordportrait is printed. Some type-faces have a modern look to them, others are more traditional, but they all have a big effect on the first impression that a book gives. Before you commission your Wordportrait, you will be made aware of the different type-faces that are available, and have the opportunity to compare them.

You will also be able to specify smaller details of style, presentation and layout. You will have the chance to consider all of these issues before having to make any final decisions.

Before accepting the final version of your Wordportrait, you will be able to proof-read a draft copy and have any typographical mistakes corrected at no additional expense to you.

Hardback
480 euros for a single copy plus 18 euros for each additional copy.

Paperback
395 euros plus 10 euros for each additional copy.

These costs are based on February 2008 source prices for commissions based on a Wordportrait printed to standard specifications as summarised above and elsewhere on this website. Other non-standard specifications may incur higher printing costs. Full details on application.
